Spring Seminar 2

Federal and state laws about education affect many aspects of school life, from budget to curriculum to professional standards and class sizes. Special education, teacher preparation, mandatory reporting, and assessment policies are also included in legislation about teaching and learning. We  considered the multiple effects of these laws as well as the importance of being familiar with them as responsible members of the educational community.

Our spring seminar series focuses on the range of pedagogical, legislative, policy-oriented, and professional challenges facing educators today. Each of our daylong programs will engage participants in discussions, case studies, and presentations about a specific issue. Our sessions emphasize connections collaboration, and reflection.

To register, or for more information, contact Dr. Lauren Goldberg, Director of Teacher Training: 617-484-3078, ext. 233 or by e-mail at lgoldberg@belmontday.org
